It's a frickin pain in the ass no matter which model. I removed the lower subframe bolts and loosened the top ones, then swung the subframe up and out of the way. I think you have to loosen the rear brake res and/or master cyclinder too. At first it wouldnt start so I replaced the air filter, removed the carb, cleaned everything with carb cleaner and compressed air ( 3 times) tried adjusting the fuel mixture screw to various positions I read on the forums.The FCR is a carb built to be fast and reliable, for all kinds of bike, but you have to re-jet. This has been made fairly easy on the FCR, so with some practice it should be an easy job. The DRZ E came with this carb, so the engine does well with it.
