The stock had been oversanded and left the rail proud by 1/16-3/32" from end to end. Carved out the slot until I was close and then started looking for high spots. I've tried lipstick, inletting black, prussian blue before but despised the mess. Once completed, clean the inletting black off the barreled action and trigger guard/magazine assembly. The Timney trigger is somewhat larger than the original trigger and may require some slight modification to the stock. Place a light coat of inletting black onto the exterior surface of the trigger.
