Tote gote

The engine stamp is for a 1960 briggs, they guy I got it from said it is a Tote Gote but I can't find any markings on the frame. Any lights on these old gotes were from a separate battery powered kit. The throttles were always rigged because they wouldn't reach full speed with the governor intact.This is a Bonham Tote Gote Model 600 that was manufactured in about 1962. The original engine was a Briggs and Stratton single cylinder 6-1/2 horse power. For dependability and cost reasons it was replaced by a 212 cc, 6-1/2 hp, single cylinder Predator engine. The belt sheave looks like it uses a narrower belt than a 7/8" wide tote gote belt. So a Comet 20 clutch may work for you. Large motors aren't necessary because of the low gearing.
